Wet and Dry

Its Easter and we thought it would be a good idea to turn the engine over and bit and keep the car going. So Ed took it down to his parents’ house for Easter weekend.

It drove down fine and was decent at motorway speeds but the radio didn’t work so the 1.5 hour cruse with nothing to listen to felt much longer.

While Ed was at home he took advantage of all the tools in his dad’s shed and sorted the radio. Turned out that once the radio came out there was a loose connection and a missing part. £5 in Halfords and a bunch of electrical tape meant that the drive back up was much more fun. I also took advantage of the wet and dry kit to fix up the headlights.

One of the last outstanding bits, is that our car’s fuel flap currently doesn’t lock, which is a bit of an issue. We've tried to figure out the mechanism but haven't been able to work out how it gets released. We’re thinking about a lockable fuel cap but would rather the flap just closed. Something to work on!

Now we’re starting to get cracking on sponsorships - stay tuned!
